The Niagara Falls School Board adopted a $121 million budget on Thursday that would cut 101 positions including 49 teaching spots.

The budget does not include a tex levy increase and actually cuts $5 million in spending. Most disturbing to schools superintendent Cynthia Bianco is the fact that the district's reserve is virtually wiped out with the new budget.

That spending plan will be presented to voters on May 17.
