The governor will make an appearance in Niagara County today as he stops to sign a ceremonial bill signing Thursday morning.
Cuomo will be on hand at North Tonawanda's Ascension Industries for a 10:30 a.m. event in support of the Power for Jobs program. The manufacturing company, which has been a beneficiary, has a client base that includes automotive, military and metal-working industries.
The governor will be discussing the new Recharge New York program, which makes permanent and expands the old Power for Jobs that provides low-cost energy to hundreds of businesses.
Also, State Assemblyman John Ceretto (R-Lewiston) will get the ear of Cuomo in regard to a vacancy on the New York Power Authority's Board of Trustees.
Ceretto is looking for local representation on the board, hoping to get a Niagara County resident named to the post. The meeting was scheduled after Ceretto personally reached out to Cuomo earlier this year to express his concerns about the board's exclusion of local representatives
