Saying he's accomplished all he wanted to at the county level, Danny Sklarski stepped down from his post on the legislature on Wednesday, and slid back into a familiar role as a Town of Niagara councilman.

He started his political career in the same position with the town and also spent time as deputy town supervisor.

Sklarski said one of his proudest accomplishments was helping in negotiations with the Fashion Outlets for a flat annual fee. The move comes as the legislature prepares for a trim from 19 to 15 members.
