A Niagara County church is among two no longer used by the Buffalo Archdiocese that will go up for auction.
The former Ascension Church in North Tonawanda will be auctioned off in the coming weeks, since the church didn't sell through a traditional broker.
One official expects the structure to sell for several hundred thousand dollars. Whoever does buy the building must comply with deed restrictions that ensure they won't conflict with Catholic traditions.
The other church on the auction block is Peter & Paul in Depew.
