Authorities around the county are still on high alert today in case of any possible retaliatory attacks following the killing of Osama bin Laden, although there has been no increase in the recently revised National Terrorism Advisory System.

Traffic resumed as normal at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge and no measures were taken at the Youngstown Coast Guard station, although Governor Cuomo said New York will be ready should al-Qaeda try to strike back.

Cuomo called this a time of mixed emotions. While there is reason to celebrate the death of Osama bin Laden, he said, it is also a time for reflection and tears for those who died at his hand.
