Seven candidates vying for four seats on the Lockport School Board met the public last night at an event sponsored by the Lockport Council PTA.

Incumbents Thomas Fiegl and David Nemi along with challengers Paul Black, Regina Marker, Anthony Molinaro, Roy Joseph O'Shaughnessy and Luisa Smith answered a total of 12 questions over a two-hour period.

Topics ranged from the kind of relationship the board should have with the community to what qualifications they would each look for in a superintendent if the current one were to retire.

Residents will be voting on a $79 million budget and three propositions, including a controversial sports complex on Tuesday from noon to 9 p.m. at six locations through out the city.
