A Newfane drug store was smashed into over night and thieves made off with more than $2,000 in prescription drugs.
Niagara County Sheriff's patrols responded to a call at Peterson Drugs on Main Street in Newfane at 5:11 this morning and found the front door smashed in.
Security video showed a person with a scarf over their face smashing taking a number of bottles of Hydrocodone, Atterol and other drugs.
The county's criminal investigation bureau is working on the case at this hour.
