It was a busy night for school board elections across the county and most measures passed, with one major exception -- Lockport's sports complex proposition was narrowly defeated.

Lockport school board winners included Thomas Fiegl, Joe O'Shaugnessy, David Nemi and Anthony Molinaro. Two other propositions passed, including one to start a $19 million capital improvement project.

Also in school board news, budgets passed in every district except North Tonawanda.

In Niagara Falls, those elected to the board were Carmelette Rotella and Robert Restaino. Newfane voters selected Patrick Kilcullen and James Little.
