Democrat Kathleen Hochul has surged into a slight lead just a day before voters hit the polls in a special election in the 26th Congressional District.
In a Siena College poll over the weekend, Hochul is now four percentage points ahead of Republican Jane Corwin.
Just three weeks ago Corwin held a five percentage point lead in the heavily Republican district .
All the heavy hitters have come out to support their candidates, and this weekend saw Senator Kirsten Gillibrand making the rounds in Western New York as she endorsed Hochul.
Voters hit the polls tomorrow to replace former Congressman Chris Lee, who resigned after sending racy photos to a woman on Craigslist.
