Those looking for work should head to the Lockport Holiday Inn this morning -- a job fair will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and approximately 50 employers will be meeting with prospective employees.
Tom Jaccarino, the new director of the Niagara County Employment & Training Department, said this fair is hoping to follow the success of a large April job fair held in Niagara Falls.
Attendance to the job fair is free and open to the public.
Jaccarino said he was approached by County Legislators Rick Updegrove, R-Lockport, Wm. Keith McNall, R-Lockport, and Tony Nemi, I-Lockport, along with Mayor Michael W. Tucker, R-Lockport, who urged him to ensure that Employment & Training fulfill a countywide role.
