There's more news today on the deadly accident in Amherst that claimed the lives of a pair of motorcyclists and sent a Niagara Falls women to ECMC.
An investigation continues, but authorities now say Jose Amaro and Richard Caramazza were traveling over 100 miles per hour on their respective bikes Tuesday night when they lost control of the vehicles on the eastbound Youngmann.
Caramazza fell from his bike and suffered fatal injuries, while Amaro toppled to the ground and was run over by a tractor trailer.
Police say the pair were part of a group of nine or ten motorcycle riders who were riding on the 290 after meeting up at a restaurant in Tonawanda.
Niagara Falls' Tory Aceti was on Amaro's bike, but she had just minor injuries and was released.
