A Buffalo man faces 26 different charges after a high-speed chase through the city of Niagara Falls on Sunday morning that injured a pregnant woman on Pine Avenue.
19-year-old Jamil Ashley was pulled over after blowing a stop sign just after midnight on Sunday morning. When police tried to stop him, two passengers tried to jump ship, although an officer called them back to the car at gunpoint. That's when Ashley pulled away, getting up to 60 miles an hour. Ashley then hit a car driven by a pregnant woman.
She was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medcial Center and treated for minor injuries while Ashley was charged with resisting arrest, reckless driving, aggravated unlicensed operation and other charges.
