A Niagara Falls man who committed four armed robberies over a 24-hour span back in 2010 was given up to 17 years in prison in Niagara County Court on Thursday.
31-year-old Lawrence Colvin had just been released from jail on bail and was scheduled to enter a drug treatment facility when he went on a crime spree.
Colvin was eventually arrested on May 13 of last year after an armed standoff with police at a house on Fourth Street.
Bail was then set at a half-millon dollars and Colvin has been in jail ever since.
He was sentenced to between 13 and 17 years in prison by Judge Matthew J. Murphy III
