Looks like another downtown Niagara Falls hotel is hoping to woo a national restaurant chain.

Owners of the Holiday Inn on First Street and Buffalo Avenue are looking to remake their ground level with retail shops and a new restaurant.

The city is expected to offer a grant of more than half-million dollars for the project, which will cost a total of $3.8 million.

That hotel will also get a total makeover, including new signage, meeting rooms and improvements to the pool. The project is expected to add 25 jobs to the region.

This news comes less than a month after a new TGIFridays opened in the new Sheraton Hotel on the corner of Third and Old Falls Boulevard.
