It took a few days, but the Niagara County Department of Health finally rescinded an advisory at Olcott Beach.
Swimmers were allowed to use the beach again over the weekend after that beach had been closed since last Tuesday. According to county officials, the water quality is once again suitable for swimming. They also added that they'll continue to monitor the water quality closely and will immediately notify the public of any future problems.
That marked the second time this summer the beach was closed.
