Chet's Dog House owner Secrist dies

David Secrist of Lockport, the 2nd generation owner of Chet's Dog House, died Wednesday in ECMC. Born on December 7, 1942 in Lockport, he was the son of Chesley and Ruth Ferris Secrist.

Secrist took over in 1965 and continued making Chet's a favorite eatery for generations of patrons before passing the business on to his son Chet.

He's survived by his wife Sandra J. Secrist, two sons and a daughter and four grandchildren.

Friends can call on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Lange Funeral Home on East Avenue in Lockport, while funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 AM at the Assembly of God Church.
