Looks like summer vacation will last an extra day for Lockport High School students and those at Lockport Opportunity Projects.

After assessing the conditions of the Lockport High School construction project, the administartion has decided top push back the start date for high school students to Wednesday.

According to a release from the district, the custodial crew, cafeteria workers and teachers will need one more day to get the school ready for students.

This doesn't affect elementary school kids, who have a half day on Tuesday, or seventh and eighth graders, who have a full day.

Also, athletes should report for all practices on Tuesday as previously scheduled.
