Even though no agreement was reached, it appears talks will continue next week between management at Eastern Niagara Hospital and the nurses union.

The two sides met for six hours on Tuesday and although there was no consensus on the topic of pensions, the strike has decided not to exercise its right to strike yet.

A federal mediator has been on hand for those sessions since May and the 125 nurses have been working without a contract since April 1.
