A North Tonawanda man who kept local police and SWAT teams in a lengthy armed standoff was finally taken into custody peacefully on Tuesday night.

Marty Hall was holding a shotgun to his chin in his Tremont Street home when police were finally able to talk him into saving his life. The incident continued late into the night, with police finally taking him in after midnight after eight hours.

Hall had a woman and two children in the house, although he wasn't threatening them, according to police.
