There could be a total of three different budgets tonight when the City of Lockport common council hosts a public hearing at 6 p.m.
Even after forcing department heads to cut their spending requests, the city is facing an 18 percent tax rate increase over last year.
The city is asking leaders to shave 10 percent more off their budgets, mayor Michael Tucker said he's also reaching out to city unions in hopes of renegotiating contracts, a measure that could help save some valuable services.
The three budgets could show the differences with and without union concessions and the service cuts and layoffs that might need to be implemented.
That hearing is set for chambers in City Hall.
