With what city officials are calling a shortage of three-star hotels in Niagara Falls, the Empire State Develoopment Corporation announced on Tuesday that a plot of downtown property is now open for bidding.

A parking lot on the corner of Rainbow Boulevard and Old Falls Street was the site of a press conference on Tuesday as that group announced its looking at requests for proposals to develop the land. Regional president Sam Hoyt said now is the time for an investor to get in on the Falls.
