Woman tries to sneak drugs into jail by mouth

A North Tonawanda woman was charged Saturday with trying to smuggle contraband into the Niagara County jail.

A report from the Niagara County Sheriff's office said that 25-year-old Christina Murnyack of Robert Drive in NT tried to bring a Suboxone pill and a marijuana bud into the jail. She had the items in a balloon in her mouth.

She was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana and has a hearing on Oct. 27
