Police will resume a search today for a woman who jumped off the Lockport Railroad bridge Thursday morning in an apparent suicide.
Lockport police said early this morning they still haven't found the woman, who made the 90 foot jump into the canal at about 10 a.m.
Construction workers on site witnessed the jump and described the woman as in her 30s, about 5 foot 7 and wearing what they think was a pink jacket.
Lockport Police Chief Larry Eggert told our Donna Pieszala that the construction workers should be commended as they tried to save the woman.
Lockport and Niagara County dive teams searched Thursday for the body, but had to call off the search due to rough weather conditions. They'll resume that search today.
