A Lewiston man has been sentenced for sexually abusing a young Niagara Falls girl.
Kim Tipton was sentenced Monday to 21 years to life behind bars after previously pleading guilty to predatory sexual assault against a child.
Prosecutors had said Tipton sexually abused the ten-year-old victim in her Niagara Falls home back in May, then slashed her throat. The child has since recovered. The judge in the case said, "This is not a sentence of vengeance. This is a sentence of incapacitation. This man needs to be removed from society."
