A Buffalo man was arrested in connection with a scam on the website Craigslist and police are worried that others could have been duped as well.
State police say a Lockport resident responded to an ad for a house for rent.
The victim then paid 39-year-old Calvin Caudle more than $1,000 for rent and a security deposit. But Caudle didn't own the property.
He was charged with grand larceny and scheming to defraud. He was arraigned in Town of Lockport court and is now in the County Jail.
Anyone who has had any contact with or has been a victim of a scam involving Caudle is asked to contact Investigator John DiPasquale at 434-5588.
