Paladino stumping for New Hampshire

Western New York businessman and former New York gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino is stumping for Newt Gingrich in New Hampshire.

Paladino told the "New York Times" he's backing Gingrich as his 2012 Republican presidential candidate because he believes the two "tell it like it is."  Paladino surprised many to become the Republican nominee for governor in 2010, but eventually lost to current Governor Andrew Cuomo, with analysts partially blaming the defeat on Paladino's sometimes abrasive style.

While Paladino may be pushing Gingrich's message, a spokesman for Gingrich's campaign tells the Times, Paladino is not officially involved in the campaign.
