An Appleton man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated over the weekend after he drove his vehicle into a ditch in the town of Lockport.

Niagara County Sheriff's deputies say 60-year-old Kenneth Paul of Hess Road was driving a car that obvious damage after they'd received a call for a possible drunk driver who'd crashed his car.

When they pulled Paul over, officers said he appeared drunk and they spotted a can of beer spilled on his floor. They later learned Paul had an active arrest warrant out of Wisconsin.
