A former North Tonawanda football star who had spent the last few years as a subsitute teacher and coach in the district was fired for having an inappropriate relationship with a student.
The Tonawanda News is reporting that 25-year-old Scott Miranto was released after officials determined he had an inappropriate, but not illegal relationship with a 17-year-old female student.
Miranto had been the junior varsity head football coach and the modified boys basketball coach. No criminal charges will be filed against Miranto, but the district wouldn't clarify whether or not the relationship was sexual in nature.
