Sabres might be without Ruff behind bench tonight

Tonight's Sabres game certainly has plenty of storylines between the reigning Stanley Cup champs coming to town and the feud between Milan Lucic and Ryan Miller. 

Now, here's a new twist, the Sabres might have a new head coach behind the bench. With Lindy Ruff still smarting with three broken ribs, assistant James Patrick assumed the head coaching duties for Tuesday's practice and he could do the same tonight when the Sabres and Bruins face off at 7:30 p.m. 

Sabres GM Darcy Regier addressed the media on Tuesday, saying Ruff could be in the press box for tonight's game. He added that would have an impact.

Here's some good news, not only have the Sabres picked up seven points in their last four starts, the team will make a pair of appearances on local cable TV this week. Tonight's game will be broadcast on NBC Sports, the former Versus, and Saturday night's game has been given to WGRZ Channel 2 through a one-time arrangement with MSG ...
