Through consolidation and outsourcing, the city of Lockport is in a better place now financially.
That's what mayor Michael Tucker said on Tuesday during his state of the city address at the Lockport Town and Country Club.
Tucker did insist there's plenty of work to be done, however.
He noted the city's surging costs in terms of health inusrance for city employees, and said he's looking for unions to come to the bargaining table. Tucker also mentioned that the city its highest bond rating in history.
