DWIs aplenty over St. Patty's Day weekend

County Sheriff's deputies had a busy weekend, arresting eight people for driving while intoxicated.

On Sunday morning, a Sanborn woman who police believe urinated in her pants was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

A deputy saw the vehicle of 42-year-old Melissa Ward cross the center stripe numerous times on Ridge Road.

After stopping the car, the deputy noticed the driver's side mirror was damaged and hanging from the vehicle. And there was an open container of Bud Light Lime in the center console.

Ward admitted she'd been drinking.

Others who were also charged with DWi over the weekend included 

19-year-old Ashleigh Edwards of the Falls; 

54-year-old William Welch of Niagara Falls; 

39-year-old Jeffrey Tedesco of Buffalo;

22-year-old Michael Haake of Wheatfield; 

29-year-old Casey Pearl of Gasport;

56-year-old  Vito Peritone of Middleport.

62-year-old Frederick Fay of Wilson;
