When the Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive started back in 2010, Pete Robinson took the ball and ran with it. Robinson pushed the cause wholeheartedly, adding pickup areas throughout the county, including right here at WLVL.
Robinson was honored for his efforts by the Lockport Business Association last week as the Community Support Person of the Year. Heather Grimmer is the president of the LBA and she says Robinson's effort have come at an important time.
The final tally of peanut butter, jelly and marshmallow fluff jars accepted reached over 9,000 last year.
