A 16-year-old boy has drowned in the waters of Lake Ontario off Wilson.  

Officials say the unidentified boy was swimming off the Wilson Pier when he went under at around 3:30 yesterday afternoon.  

The boy was submerged for around 20 minutes before he was pulled from the water and rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The Niagara County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
