A North Tonawanda man who was allegedly leaving disturbing messages on the voice mails of those in an online chatroom was arrested by state police on Tuesday for having numerous images of child pornography on his cellular telephone.

State police arrested 38-year-old Hollis Stewart of Main Street in NT for possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, a class E felony.

The New York State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force was alerted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a Buffalo, NY based online chat room service customer had left numerous messages in the voice mail boxes of other customers wanting to talk about his sexual fantasies involving underage children.

An investigation was conducted by the Computer Crimes Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigations in Lockport.

Stewart was arraigned before Town of Lockport Judge Leonard Tilney and was remanded to the Niagara County Jail on $10,000 cash bail and is scheduled to appear before the City of North Tonawanda Court on Thursday.
