Voters in every Niagara County community will head to the polls today to vote on school boards and budgets.

In Lockport, there are six candidates for three spots and voters can have their say on a total budget that is nearly four percent larger than last year's budget ...

The Newfane district has five candidates up for three spots and voters will weigh in on a budget that has a nine percent chunk coming from its reserve savings.

The situation gets messy in Lew-Port, where a super majority needs to come in for the budget increase of more than five percent to get passed.

It's important to vote, but it's becoming more and more difficult, too, according to Lockport school board candidate Diane Phelps.

Other candidates here in the Lock city include John Williams, Randall Parker, Marietta Schrader, Edward Sandell, Todd McNall.

Most votes open at noon, although the polls are open already in Newfane. We'll have complete results as soon as their posted.
