Border Patrols stopped a Niagara Falls man on Pierce Avenue and found he had a suspended license. They asked 35-year-old Levester Rose III why the vehicle smelled like marijuana and he said it was because he'd just dropped off his son and he was the one who'd been carrying it.
Police then realized Rose had an open 40-ounce Natural Ice beer in his lap.
They had Rose exit the vehicle and found $300 on him and spotted some marijuana buds in the center console.
That's when the passenger, 64-year-old Levester Rose Junior, was asked to exit the vehicle.
Police spotted a pair of baggies with white powder which tested positive for cocaine.
Rose the third and Rose Junior said they had no idea where any of the substances had come from.
After handing him five charges, police took Rose the third to Town of Niagara court on an outstanding bench warrant.
