A Lockport man was arrested for DWI after he was clocked doing 72 miles an hour in a 45 out in the Town of Newfane on Memorial Day.

59-year-old Harold Weber was stopped by county sheriff's patrols on Lockport-Olcott Road.

When Weber was asked by police why he was going so fast, he insisted it was because he was hustling to get to his car inspected, since it had run out in January. Police pointed out that it was Memorial Day, so all the dealerships were closed.

He refused to take a breath test, although he admitted he was drinking wine during the day.
