Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard is reiterating that he will not enforce New York state's tough new gun laws.

Howard was speaking at a forum on the new law last night in Amherst, where he again stated that the law is unenforceable and a waste of resources.

The sheriff says he cannot enforce a law that is unconstitutional, and the measure only impacts people who obey the law.

Howard is up for re-election this year, and his opposition to the gun reforms are expected to be a key issue of the campaign.
