A Roman Catholic nun from Lewiston has headed to Orleans County jail for 90 days after authorities say she stole around 130-thousand-dollars from two churches to feed her gambling habit.

Prosecutors say Sister Mary Ann Rapp took the money from churches in the towns of Kendall and Holley between 2006 and 2011.

Rapp admits to taking the money and spending it at casinos in Western New York.

In addition to her jail time, Rapp must serve five-years of probation, 100 hours of community service and make full restitution to the churches.
