A man who was already in the Niagara County Jail had extra charges piled on this week when he was found to have contraband in prison.
Jose Irizarry was found to have what a corrections office referred to as a cellophane type of plastic in his anus.
Irizarry removed the item, and it appeared to be crack cocaine.
He then told officers it was fake crack that he tried to sell earlier in the day and that he'd put it there earlier in the morning and had forgotten about it.
He also added that he was in jail because he couldn't get any money, saying nobody would buy the fake crack, and so he was in jail for petit larceny after taking items from K-Mart.
Further charges could be pending.
