Racin' Ray Sherman
Ray Sherman started working for WLVL in 2000 as a board operator. Since then he has done just about every job here at the station. There is not much that goes to air without Ray's involvement. He is often heard as the stand by host all of WLVL's local programming.
Ray is a graduate of Letchworth High School and studied at Alfred University soon after. Ray is best known for his involvement and passion for auto racing.
Ray is our local racing expert, often lending his expertise not only in the news of the sport, but also a seasoned driver on the local dirt track circuit.
He knows racing because he's been around it for years. Our audience refers to him as "Racin' Ray" and he has become a household name in the WLVL family.
Ray also enjoys hunting and fishing. Ray has two children, Raymond III and Brooke.
